The Bishop of North Sydney is the Rt Rev. Dr Glenn Davies. He succeeds Bishop Barnett who fulfilled his role as Bishop of North Sydney for more than eleven years.
Like Paul, Glenn also has connections with Moore College. After two years in parish ministry at St Stephen’s Willoughby, Glenn was invited to join the faculty of Moore College as a lecturer in Old Testament. At the end of 1985 he took a two-year study leave in England where he gained his PhD from Sheffield University. Glenn returned from overseas in 1988 to take up a position as a lecturer in New Testament and he continued in that post until 1995. In the course of that year he accepted the position of rector of St Luke’s Miranda which he held until December 2001.
Glenn is married to Di and they have two adult children. Both daughters, Simone and Michelle, are studying Primary Education at Wollongong University and live in Miranda, close to their church and friends.
